Luton: Community Activity Network Meetings

17 April 2018

Are you an individual or community group interested in developing sport and physical activity classes across Luton? Do you need help with building your community business or project or want to find out about funding or training opportunities? If yes, the Community Activity Network (CAN) is for you!

The network is led by Luton Council and aims to support the town’s communities to get active by connecting people with resources, information or signposting to providers who can assist them.  Funding is also available to local community providers via the Community Activity Network small grants scheme. Groups or individuals can apply for grants and if successful they could receive financial support up to a maximum of £500.

CAN will provide the necessary support to increase the sustainability of local initiatives and help to reduce barriers to participation ultimately helping to achieve the Council’s strategic goal of reducing inactivity to help tackle long term health conditions…   If you have a real passion for physical activities and want to help local people to get active as well as network with other groups and share ideas attend one of the meetings and find out how CAN can help you.”
