Here is a full list of the current Trustee roles on our system.

Bedford Creative Arts -Trustee

Bedford Creative Arts is seeking two enthusiastic people to join its Board of Trustees. Bedford Creative Arts is an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation working in Bedfordshire for over 35 years. We create art that responds to the needs of communities and believe that everyone should have an outrageous sense of entitlement to the arts because of its power to provoke change.

 

Bedford & District Cerebral Palsy Society – Chair of Trustees

To lead the Board of Trustees and the Charity to set and meet its aims and objectives, ensuring high levels of provision and compliance.

 

Bedford Players Trust - The Place Theatre – Trustee

The role of Trustee is an important one in the, with others, you would be responsible for helping to develop the strategy for the charity which was formed in 1984 and has played an important part of the cultural life of Bedford since then.

 

Buzzer Buses Dial a Ride Ltd – Trustee / Fundraising Trustee or Volunteer

Buzzer Buses are looking to increase the number of Trustees to help them move forward and continue to grow the services they offer. We are very proud of the service we provide, offering a caring and personal transport service to the elderly, or disabled, in Leighton & Linslade who are unable to use public transport

 

Caraline – Trustee (eating disorder charity)

To ensure that the organisation pursues its objectives as defined in its constitution. To ensure the organisation applies its resources exclusively in pursuance of its objectives - the charity must not spend money on activities that are not included in its purposes, no matter how 'charitable' and 'worthwhile' those activities.

 

CPRE Bedfordshire - The Countryside Charity - Secretary (Trustee Role)

As secretary you’ll ensure the effective administration of our Executive Committee and potentially provide advice on governance issues. The Committee meet every two months (virtually at the moment) and we need someone to plan meeting dates, send out notifications, minutes and other papers. At the meeting you will take minutes and ensure all actions and decisions are accurately recorded.

 

FACES – Trustee

FACES is looking to grow its Trustee team to make sure we have a broad skill base to ensure our Governance remains relevant, sustainable and fit for the future.As a Trustee you will help ensure that FACES effectively delivers high quality services that meet the needs of the local community.

 

Frederick Ray Trust - Trustee to an Almshouse Charity in Bedford

We have vacancies for up to two new trustees following the recent retirement of two members of the board. Residents in or close to Bedford with knowledge of the town, plus some background experience in legal or accountancy work would be ideal but not essential.

 

Friends for Life – Trustee

Friends for Life (FFL) is a local charity working to address the social isolation of residents in Bedford’s care homes. Founded in 2007, we have grown from a small local initiative to a charity with over 70 volunteers, supporting 35 care homes across Bedfordshire; something which we are very proud of.

 

Friends Of Refugees - Treasurer (a Trustee-designate role)

We need a Treasurer who believes in our mission, who can manage our financial compliance and help us find the funding needed to deliver it. We are registered for Gift Aid, and anticipate having a very small payroll and having a membership scheme collecting regular small fees from loyal supporters.

 

Goldington Reading and Recreation Rooms – Trustee

To join 6 other trustees in managing the Rooms for the benefit of the people of Goldington and the wider public. The trustees meet once a month on the second Tuesday to discuss business. A person with knowledge of book keeping would be a great advantage.

 

Headway Bedford - Directors/Trustees

Headway Bedford is a charitable, limited company, affiliated to Headway - the brain injury association. We exist to support and rehabilitate people with acquired brain injuries and their carers in the Mid and North Bedfordshire area. We now need some additional volunteers to join our Board of Trustees.

 

Luton Foodbank - Trustee

Luton Foodbank current trustee requirements are for motivated, strategic-thinking individuals with professional qualifications and experience in a variety of settings. Currently we are looking for individuals with business management, fundraising and marketing skills.

 

Oakley Village Hall - Member of the Management Committee (Trustee)

All of the committee members have been in place for a long time, and we need new people to join, to bring fresh ideas on how the Hall should be run, and how we can enhance this village asset. Younger committee members would be most welcome.

 

Woman’s Aid in Luton – Trustee

We are seeking to strengthen our existing Board of Trustees through recruiting additional members. We are particularly looking to recruit trustees with an understanding of Governance, Risk management, charity boards and Safeguarding. In addition, we are keen to hear from women with professional knowledge in charity or property law, or fundraising expertise. We are also seeking new trustees who ideally live in the Luton area, have a strong sense of community and are passionate advocates for victim /survivors of Domestic Abuse
