4YPUK: Employability Coordinator (maternity cover), Bedford,  £11,464–£12,959 pa, part time (21 hours per week).

Peer Advocate: Be Active (Bedfordshire), £25,949 fte, part time (1 day per week).

Be Active are currently looking to recruit a Peer Advocate, which in this role is someone living with a disability and/or a mental health condition. They will use their lived experience of disability and/or mental health to break down barriers disabled people face in accessing physical activity. The Advocate will identify gaps in local provision, build confidence among residents, and support accessible, inclusive routes into physical activity that reflect people's local needs.

4YPUK: Employer Partnerships Manager, Bedford, £30,000–£33,500 pa, full time.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Employer Partnerships Manager to lead and grow our employability programmes, including career mentoring and work experience projects for young people. This role involves building strong relationships with employers, schools and other partners, recruiting and supporting volunteers, coordinating programme delivery, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for students.

The Electricals Recycling Fund

Thanks to the Distributor Takeback Scheme, this fund has £1 million available to support practical approaches to collecting and recycling unwanted electricals. ‘In this funding round, we are focussing on pilots that make it easier for households to recycle small electrical items at convenient drop-off points - including on-street bring banks and community drop off points.’ You can apply for up to £0.50 per household receiving the service, capped at £100,000 per applicant.

The Strategic Legal Fund

‘For migrant groups in the UK, is a fund to support legal work in the UK that goes beyond securing justice for an individual and makes a significant contribution to law, practice and procedures to uphold and promote the rights of people seeking asylum, refugees and migrants more generally. The SLF aims to tackle injustices and inconsistencies in law and practice that disadvantage or discriminate against asylum seekers, refugees and migrants, as a result of their migration status. Maximum funding for any one application will be £30,000 but, in view of the limited funding available, lower applications are encouraged. The average grant size is around £12,000 - £15,000. You need to demonstrate that your application represents value for money. Grants may be approved for a lesser amount than requested.’

Luton Innovation & Collaboration Fund

As part of Luton Borough Council’s groundbreaking Fairness Taskforce, and thanks to funding received from the National Lottery Community Fund, BLCF are working with local partners to offer a new fund to deliver actions of Luton’s Fairness Taskforce.
For this round of the fund, which is focused on Financial Resilience, there is a maximum pot of £110k available in total. Priority will be given to those groups who attended the previous Financial Resilience Fairness Taskforce event, which took place on 28 January 2026.

The Senior Programme Coordinator is a skilled practitioner who leads by example, delivering high-quality interventions to young people while providing day-to-day oversight of regional delivery, with support from the Programme Manager.

Building Resilience Fund - Freshwater Ecosystems

The Programme aims to support small and medium‑sized social purpose organisations working to protect and preserve the UK’s freshwater ecosystems. The programme will help these organisations to strengthen their resilience so they can thrive for the long term. Organisations can apply for between £40,000 and £70,000 over two years.

Rosa’s Stand With Us Fund

‘Set up to address the critical lack of investment in frontline organisations supporting women and girls who experience male violence’, the fund exists to make the UK safer for all women and girls. The fund supports organisations to become stronger and more effective; better meeting the needs of women and girls and influencing wider change for all women and girls across the UK. Organisations can apply for up to £28,000 to fund areas related to organisational development, including strategy, governance, leadership, having a stronger voice within the women’s movement, building alliances, fundraising, impact, systems and processes.
This fund is for organisations that have an income of between £100,000 and £500,000 (from their last set of annual accounts).

Tibbs Dementia Foundation: Administration Assistant, Bedford, £13 per hour, part time (20 hours per week).

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administration Assistant to provide essential support within our office environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining smooth daily operations, assisting with various administrative tasks, and ensuring effective communication across departments.

Tree Council

Grants to support the establishment of thousands of trees, orchards and hedgerows on streets, in parks, and in community and educational spaces are now available’.

  • Branching Out - ‘Grants of between £250 and £2,500 for community groups, schools, small registered charities, and Tree Warden Networks (among others) – with a quicker decision for those seeking funding below £500.’ Deadline is Midnight, Sunday 19 July, or earlier if funding is fully allocated. Applications are assessed on a rolling basis – early applications are encouraged.
  • Network Rail Community Tree Planting Fund - ‘Grants of between £2,500 and £10,000 for projects in England, Scotland and Wales. Open to a wide range of applicants, including local authorities, community groups and landowners.’ Deadline is Midnight, Sunday 19 July. A second round may open if funds remain, but this is not guaranteed. Please apply early to avoid missing out.

Tesco Fruit & Veg Grants

Tesco is offering grants of up to £1,500 for not-for-profit organisations working to improve children's access to nutritious food. Successful applications will be put to the public vote in local Tesco stores every three months. We particularly welcome applications from:

  • Breakfast/after school clubs that provide fruit and veg for pupils
  • Sports clubs that provide healthy food as part of the project or a much-needed halftime boost
  • Growing initiatives to grow your own fruit and veg or cooking classes using the food to learn
