Celebrating Volunteering - Focus on Helen

Helen, Communications and Marketing Officer, sought new experiences in the Voluntary Sector as a deliberate strategy to change career direction. She found volunteering work with BRCC, Progressibility.org and Citizens Advice Bedford which led her to her current role.  She is now supporting the local community through her local church, and uses her interest in photography to raise funds for the national charity, Amos Trust for whom she has undertaken some overseas volunteering work.  Helen also likes to take advantage of one-off volunteering opportunities when she is able, such as local litter picks, sorting donations or manning a stand for Friends of Refugees.
