Addenbrookes Charitable Trust
Giving talks on behalf of Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust at groups / events. Representing Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust at events within the community
Raising visibility of our charity, promoting ACT’s fundraising initiatives, and helping to distribute fundraising literature around your local community. Encouraging local shops, community groups, and venues to display collection tins and then collect the funds once the tins are full!
ACT Volunteer Tin Collection Coordination
This original and effective volunteer role is a great opportunity to raise the profile of Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) within your community by placing our collection tins within the venues you have approached.
Stewards – be present and visible in the core event area, supporting the security team (paid professionals) and being on hand to monitor overall safety, provide general support in emergencies/evacuation, parking, litter, etc.
Bright Futures UK
Primary Maths and English Tutor for a Young Person with Serious Illness
Run tutoring sessions online to support a young person. Offer subject area knowledge and expertise related to KS1 and KS2 Maths and English. Help to combat social isolation through fun and engaging tutoring sessions.
Canine Partners
This role involves managing all static collection tins within your local area including identifying opportunities to place a collection tin, emptying the tin and banking the money.
We consider this a long-term volunteer role as the puppy / dog will live with you. This may be from 8 weeks old until they progress to join our elite breeding programme or are ready to progress into assistance dog training at approximately 14 to 18 months of age.
Adhoc video sessions which will primarily be based at our National Training Centre but may also be on location, so please apply from any area of the UK as we may have an opportunity in your area
This is considered a full time role. The brood will live with you from approximately aged from 14-18 months old until retirement. The brood will have one litter per year from the age of two, up to a maximum of four litters. The litter will be born within the home and the puppies will remain with the brood until they are approximately eight weeks old and ready to go to their puppy parents.
Carers in Bedfordshire
Keep In Touch volunteers phone unpaid family carers who are registered with this. You call reminds carers whohaven’t been in touch for a while that we are here for them. You’ll pass on to our Early Response staff any extra help they ask for - you are not giving advice or counselling.
Icknield Way Association
To identify relevant local media and provide them with regular updates on the IWA's activities and events.
To establish and manage the social media presence of the Icknield Way Association. Work with the Publicity Officer to co-ordinate media communications.
Mind BLMK
Supporting the facilitation of a weekly mental health service. Helping with the service as required e.g. setting up tables and chairs at the beginning of the evening, providing refreshments and packing away after the session.
Volunteer Finance Department Assistant
No formal accounting qualification required but would suit part qualified AAT. Previous experience of working in a finance department is preferable.
NCT Bedfordshire (Main)
As a Walk & Talk Volunteer, you will lead on setting up a new Walk & Talk or support an existing Walk & Talk group in your local area. In this role, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming and inclusive community for all parents.
