Young Climate Warriors
Are you passionate about climate change, positive about the future, and want to inspire the next generation? Join our team of Young Climate Warriors Ambassadors, and help bring climate conversations into primary schools across the UK!
Amicus Trust
You will be joining our current Board of Trustees. Trustees have overall control of the charity and have responsibility for ensuring it is solvent, well-run, and delivering the outcomes it was set up to do.
We are looking for compassionate, responsible, and committed people who can provide guidance and strategic input in a variety of areas and will always act with integrity and the best interests of the charity in mind.

We have vacancies for up to two new trustees following the recent retirement of two members of the board. Residents in or close to Bedford with knowledge of the town, plus some background experience in legal or accountancy work would be ideal but not essential.

Headway Luton
The Board of Trustee’s main role is to ensure that Headway Luton meets its legal duties, remains solvent and is well run. We set the strategic direction of the organisation and support the management team with the implementation of agreed operational objectives.
FACES
Trustees of charity boards are the final decision-makers. They have oversight of all the charity’s decisions and to set the charity's direction. The Trustee Board has ultimate responsibility for the strategic direction of the charity, ensuring that it complies with charity law and that it is well run.
Flittabus Community Transport Ltd
The Flittabus secretary is responsible for booking meeting rooms for the monthly committee meeting at the Rufus Centre, Flitwick, and taking minutes at those meetings. The secretary is also responsible for keeping our insurance up to date and when necessary liasing with insurance companies.

The Steel Charitable Trust really wants to hear from people who are enthusiastic, have a philanthropic mindset and a willingness to involve themselves in aspects of charitable work that they may or may not currently know much about.

The Chair needs to be able to lead with confidence, use management data to inform business decisions, and communicate well with all stakeholders.

Trustee Role - Marketing and Communication
The board reports back its progress to its ‘members’ through the annual AGM and any ad-hoc meetings that should be called. It is also responsible for reporting back to regulators and government bodies such as Companies House and Charity Commission.
Bedford and Ouse Valley Scouts
A District Secretary helps the team that oversee groups in the area by assisting the District Chair to support the functions of the District Board of Trustees. The Secretary provides administrative support, keeps records, provides a focal point for external communications and is a trustee of the District.
Headway Bedford

Headway Bedford is a charitable, limited company, affiliated to Headway - the brain injury association. We exist to support and rehabilitate people with acquired brain injuries and their carers in the Mid and North Bedfordshire area. We now need some additional volunteers to join our Board of Trustees.
