Volunteer Parental Advocacy Project Advocate - Luton
Meet and support vulnerable adults to help them speak up for themselves or to speak up on their behalf during Child Protection, Child In Need, Looked after Child meetings.
Greensand Community Energy
Energy Champion – Central Bedfordshire Network
Greensand Community Energy Group (Flitwick and Ampthill area) works in the network with Buzz Community Energy Group (Linslade and Leighton Buzzard area) and River Ivel Group (Biggleswade area). This volunteer role is for someone who wants to take practical action on climate change and who enjoys working with people.
Pathways & Perspectives Well-Being/Counselling, Houghton Regis
Trustee of Pathways & Perspectives
Taking part in our three-monthly online Trustee Meetings (approximately 1.5 hours for each meeting) and helping us run Pathways & Perspectives in a way which maximises benefit for people in the local community.
Mind BLMK
We are currently looking for a team of volunteers to join our Crisis Cafe Service in Milton Keynes. Our crisis service runs 7 days a week 5pm – 11pm and is a great opportunity to learn the intricate process of deescalating crisis and promoting recovery pathways for individuals.
Recovery Lounge Volunteer- Biggleswade ONLY
Helping with the service as required e.g. setting up tables and chairs at the beginning of the evening, providing refreshments and packing away after the session.
On a one-to-one basis, mentors will work with mentees in the community to identify goals, create action plans to help break down tasks into manageable steps and then provide support and encouragement to help them overcome barriers and take positive steps towards change.
Peer Support groups offer a safe space for people to share their own mental health experience and recovery journey and feel heard and supported by others.
Recovery Group Volunteer (Central Bedfordshire)
Support staff to facilitate Recovery group sessions and complete ad hoc tasks.
Support a fast-growing charity by keeping the office organised and running smoothly by supporting our HQ departments.
Community Led Initiatives CIC
Produce support plans for a service user based on individual needs assessments. Help the service user identify achievable goals and help review progress against these goals that are focused on personal recovery plans and reintegrating in to the community.
Volunteer For Groups at Community Led Initiatives
In this role you will be managing, coordinating, supervising and supporting individuals with their recovery within a group setting. You will be supporting individuals who are in recovery from alcohol and substance misuse.
Office for the Police and Crime Commissioner
Independent Custody Detention Scrutiny Panel Member
The Independent Custody Detention Scrutiny Panel will be given unprecedented access to material retained by the police to review matters of disproportionality objectively and independently, and police/detainee behaviour in the context of legislation, guidance, policy, and procedure.
Independent Custody Visitor for the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Bedfordshire
Independent custody visiting is a well established system whereby volunteers attend police stations to check on the treatment of detainees, the conditions in which they are held and that their rights and entitlements are being observed.
Use of Force and Stop and Search Volunteer Scrutiny Panel Member
The Stop and Search and Use of Force Scrutiny Group reviews the Stop and Search and Use of Force data, outcomes of those searches and use of force, as well as body-worn footage to scrutinise use of the power.

Bedfordshire Refugee & Asylum Seeker Support (BRASS)
Volunteer Drop in Adviser - Tuesdays 10am - 2pm
BRASS runs drop in sessions for Refugees and Asylum Seekers. we have specialist advisers for Immigration and Benefits. We require a volunteer to advise clients on Tuesdays on more general matters eg. utility bills; school applications; GP registration etc.
