Barnardos (Milton Keynes, Bedford Borough and Central Beds)
Barnardo's Retail Online Research Volunteer (Ampthill)
Our Online Research Volunteers (Retail Store based) find those items that will be more suitable for online sale. You will need to fully research the items, including ensuring that the items have sold previously and/or are likely to sell, then prepare the items for safe transport to our online sales department.
Barnardo's Retail Volunteer (Ampthill)
As a Retail Volunteer you will be an important part of the in-store team. You will support with a variety of the day-to-day tasks of the charity shop.
Barnardo's Retail Volunteer (Ampthill)- Craft and Fabric Specialist
We run regular sales events selling crafting materials, fabric and linens that are pre-loved or donated by businesses. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in supporting these events by sorting, pricing and preparing stock and creating eye-catching displays.
Bedford MS Therapy Centre
Learn how to run standard operating procedures and adhere to safety protocols for operating our oxygen therapy equipment. Comfortable dealing with people and assisting them, including people with disabilities, to access our oxygen therapy. Maintain accurate records of the session.
Bedfordshire Agricultural Education Foundation
The Exhibit Lead is a voluntary role to oversee the co-ordination of the 50+ exhibitors who will attend the event. The day to day contact with the exhibitors will be done by the six Zone Leaders each of whom is responsible for a marquee.
Emmaus Village Carlton
This role is based in our Bistro - a popular place that serves all day breakfast, drinks, baguettes, cakes and a weekly special.
Friends for Life
Trustee (fundraising background)
We are looking to appoint a trustee with a professional background in charity and third sector fundraising. The trustee will be a member of our board, responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight. Our trustees work closely with the small team of staff that run the charity on a day-to-day basis, and with our volunteers.
Keech Hospice Care
Responsible for assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of fleet vehicles, including carrying out routine vehicle checks such as water, oil, tyres and lights, and accurately recording the results.
Living It Up
Gig Buddies matches members and volunteers based on their interests so that they can enjoy shared activities together. Once matched the idea is that you do something with your Gig Buddy once a month. No special experience is required, just enthusiasm and kindness! – each role is personalised to a service user, check the role address for more details.
Tibbs Dementia Foundation
Cognitive Stimulation Therapy group volunteer
We offer a weekly Cognitive Stimulation Therapy group in Leighton Buzzard and are looking for volunteers to help out there. You will be setting up and clearing away, making teas/coffees for our clients, and helping support our clients do the activities.
East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust
NHS - Newborn Hearing Screening Volunteer
This volunteer role will support the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme on the maternity / neonatal units of Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, collecting feedback about the experience of families whose babies have undergone hearing screening.
